Not everyone knows this, but I’m actually a Spaniard. My mother is from Spain, and I’m a dual citizen and bilingual. I’ve wanted to do a sort of Spanish-themed image for awhile now, and with the release of this lovely hair from Beusy I felt I could finally get something I wanted. I had to combine it with Kaorinette’s beautiful cheek brands, of course!

Rewind.
What a fun, adorable event, honestly. I’m a 90’s kid, and everything that the designers have put out has given me an almost physical wave of nostalgia. Hell, the two gachas by Plastik and CureMore (the Cureless/Moon Amore collaboration brand) are basically my childhood in a box.
Moon tickled my grunge-loving self with her two new hairstyles, and for once I picked the shorter hair. She named them Lithium and Sex Type Thing–two of my favorite songs of pretty much all time.

Long time no see!
It’s been a hectic few weeks since I returned from vacation, and I was definitely struggling with finding inspiration for blogging, but I managed to pull myself out of my funk and have put together something I quite like.
The skogsrå is a Scandinavian myth, a creepy forest spirit that takes the shape of a beautiful woman to lure men into the woods. They look normal from the front, but their backs are open and have dead trees growing out of them. It’s a pretty cool story, and as I’m currently crushing hard on a Swedish guy, it seemed appropriate.

So I really like Overwatch. Pharah’s in my top three most played heroes, and I in general just adore her aesthetic. I’ve been wanting to do some “casual” Overwatch hero pictures and with the release of Vae’s new jewelry at N21 and at ROMP, I finally felt like I was ready to do it. Also, I had to add the wedjat tattoo in Photoshop ’cause I couldn’t find a good Omega or Catwa one inworld. Hint hint makeup designers.

She smiled, and to my surprise I saw not the simple neat fangs of the Kindred but rather a mouthful of shark’s teeth, the color of old ivory even in the moonlight and marked with stains whose origins I did not wish to dwell on.
“Nagaraja,” I breathed, and she smiled wider still.
“You know something of my kin?” she asked, her voice accented–British, perhaps, almost certainly by way of India. I nodded. I could feel her gaze even behind the dark glasses she wore. I could not show weakness; she was a predator unlike any of her kind.
She laughed suddenly, a quick, sharp sound like a sliver of broken glass, and then all traces of mirth vanished, replaced by a cunning look that made the hairs on the back of my neck rise.
“If you know us, then you’ll know that we prefer to remain sequestered away, locked in labs and morgues and high rise apartments sealed against the sun.” Her look turned scornful, and she shook her head. “I am not such a…what’s the phrase? Wet blanket, I believe?” She paused briefly, studying me, and I realized she truly wanted a response.
“Yes,” I said, after pausing for a moment myself. I started to say something else, but stopped, strangely not wanting to give offense. Her mouth twitched.
“You think to ask why I violate the Masquerade, don’t you?” She drew closer, and I realized I had made a terrible mistake.

I am a huge geek for Plastik and have been ever since I started out in SL. Vae does wonderful textures and models, gorgeous makeup, awesome skins, etc. There’s always been something fae about her store, and when I picked up some of her new releases I immediately knew what I wanted to do with them.
I’m a big fan of Jim Butcher’s Dresden Files, and Mab, the Queen of Air and Darkness and monarch of the Unseelie–Winter–Court of the Fae is a fairly important character in the books. I recently finished re-reading the newest entry in the series, Skin Game, and Mab once again features in it. So this interpretation of Mab is influenced by Jim Butcher, and uses pieces from Vae’s beautiful Petrichor Druid gacha set at Whimsical. I’ve also picked up the new Lo hair from Little Bones at Uber and the Kat applier from Glam Affair at We ♥ RP to round it out.
You may also notice I’ve been working on my editing techniques! I really wanted to do something special for my first blog post for Plastik, so I decided to challenge myself and see if I couldn’t do something really lovely, and I’m pleased with how it turned out.
